2009 Carolina Martial Arts Open - Welcome

EXCITEMENT, PASSION, PROGRESS!!!

Sensei Pena

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that my Allie, Laney and I offer you the 6th Annual Carolina Martial Arts Open!!!
It is my dream and passion to move Sport Martial Arts into the future…

Staying true to my character, this year’s tournament promises to build on the reputation we established in 2004 as a professionally coordinated and super organized event!!
My staff and I have put many, many hours into producing what we feel will be an exceptional quality event for everyone from the 4 year old Beginner to the Master Blackbelt!

For 2009 we are once again hosting our event at the recently renovated Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina!
The Radisson Hotel and Conference Center has recently undergone a multi-million dollar complete renovation and is NICE!!!

Be sure to stay at the Radisson Hotel, be part of the “tournament excitement” and enjoy discounts on tournament registration!!
* I also encourage you to join me and sneak a trip in on Sunday, May 10, 2009 to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens just 5 miles up the road *

This year we are excited that once again we will be a part of the NBL Dixie Conference as well as being SKI “AAA” and DOJO “AAA” rated.

“Excitement” seems to be a theme this year…
Join us on Friday, May 8, 2009 for an exciting State versus State Team Sparring Challenge!!
We are in the process of securing “8” person Blackbelt Teams from
Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Florida consisting of Juniors and Adults!

The top two States will battle it out on stage on Saturday, May 9, 2009!! COME CHEER YOUR STATE ON!!!
This year along with our beautiful professional awards, we are offering increased prize money to all Grand Champions, both Underbelt and Blackbelt!!
All competitors will receive awards for competitive spirit regardless of placement!!

Be sure to join us on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 7:30pm in the evening as we host the NBL Saturday Night Super Show!!
Did you see how packed the ballroom was in 2008 with cheering Sport Karate fans?? Don’t be late to reserve your seat for an even bigger 2009!!!
This will not simply be a Grand Championship, but a professionally coordinated show to display both Blackbelt and Underbelt competitors!!

Enthusiastic for the Future!!
